Sketch overhead lighting maps in Excalidraw (Obsidian plugin) and export as SVG, then embed inline:

For field notes without a diagram, a concise text description is sufficient — follow the format:

KEY   → 120d Lantern, 3200K, 45° CL, 1.2m from subject
FILL  → 4x4 bounce, camera-right, −1 stop
RIM   → LED strip behind subject, 5600K
AMB   → Overcast exterior, north-facing window
